CRIS 2012 Topics
Information and communication technology is increasingly used to support scientific knowledge production and scholarly discourse. E-Science and E-learning platforms, academic social networks, digital archives and public databases provide valuable information on outputs and outcomes of research, such as publications, patents, products and expertise. Research institutions and funders utilize such information to assess performance, support strategy development and target scarce funding. Both the demand for and the supply of research information are high, yet the available resources are often not interoperable. As a result, information about research on the institutional, regional and European level is highly fragmented.
Conference topics include but are not limited to:
-
Research information management in and across institutions
-
Measuring output and performance: Trends in research assessments and rankings
-
Very Early Output - primary research data management
